On Sunday, June 2, 2013, we celebrated St. James UCC 100th Anniversary through a special worship service where former Pastors, former Organists, son and daughters of the congregation along with dignitaries from the city attended. Following the service, we buried the time capsule to be dug up and opened in the year 2025. We then went into the Fellowship Hall for a special luncheon.
Sunday, December 11, 2011, we had our annual Christmas Dinner after worship. The hospitality committee plans a wonderful turkey dinner including appetizers of fruit with a chocolate fountain. Great fun, great eating and wonderful friendship. What follows is a few of our pictures.
Sundays, November 27, December 4 and December 18, we had an arts and crafts workshop for children, grandchildren and neighborhood children to attend. Their crafts and decorating stockings will be hung around the church until Christmas morning. Then on Christmas morning, December 25th when they come to our 9:30AM worship service, the children will be able to pick their stockings up which will be filled with goodies by Santa. Anyone is welcome. See also our beautiful church and sanctuary decorated for Advent and Christmas. Pictures were taken by Marie and Michael Sincavage.
Here are some pictures from our recent “Penny Party” on October 8, 2011. Some are of our members working in the kitchen, and various other areas; and some are just having fun! Enjoy! Pictures were taken by Marie Sincavage and myself.
Sunday, August 7th, we had our summer church picnic immediately following worship. We began with eating some great food, followed by magician, Roy Huffort, then onto children’s games and Bingo. We ended with eating some great ice cream sundaes. Enjoy some of our pictures.
